Bio

In Carnets New-Yorkais, Jean-Christian Bourcart captures the raw energy and contradictions of the metropolis where he has lived since the late 1990s. Balancing urban observation with introspection, this series reveals a New York that is vibrant, chaotic, and deeply human.

His works are held in prestigious collections, including those of MoMA, the Fonds National d’Art Contemporain, Mamco, and Nan Goldin.

All of his archives are held at the Musée Nicéphore Niépce, which dedicated a major exhibition to his work.
