Bio
Joachim Perez is a Swiss artist living between Berlin and Tokyo whose textile-based practice explores memory and diasporic knowledges around repair. Working with reclaimed domestic fabrics and hand-sewn forms, he draws on his diasporic heritage and a background in industrial design to create installations that evoke gestures of care and transmission.
His installations have been exhibited in museums, galleries and public spaces in Japan, Europe and the United States.
